With Yale as my home course I can still say today's round was truly and enjoyable day of golf. Except for a little bare spot issues and off the beaten path wear, the whole course was visually stunning, challenging layout and very very good golf.
Played Keney Park twice this year, so far. Great course, excellent tee boxes, fairways and greens. Enough challenge for any player. The GPS golf carts really make it a nice experience. Love the new club house. The city has spend a lot of resources updating this course the last couple of years and done a good job of involving community groups. They have all done a great job!
The course was recently redone and is in very good shape. The most challenging part is the greens. Many are multiple level with some severe undulations leading to some very interesting putts.
Amazed this is a public track. Keep it up Hartford. I wished I lived closer.
If you knew what this place used to be, you wouldn't even recognize it now. Whoever came up with the idea to bring this course back to life should be commended. Excellent tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Great old school tight track with challenging greens. Tavern on premises has excellent food backed by excellent service. Definitely a hidden gem for now. I would highly recommend this course and I will definitely be back.
Big fan of this course. It plays a little short but I don't hit it very long so not a problem. Greens are in great shape and fun to play. Pace can be slow (2.5hrs for 9 on a Monday afternoon) especially when following the weekday leagues but I suppose that can be a problem anywhere. Greens fees are reasonable. Practice area is not bad either. Haven't had the food. Definitely recommend.
